Vision Committee - Ensures that the Pack continues in a progressive, positive direction for the benefit of the Scouts and their community.

The Pack 142 Vision Committee will consist of the following eleven (11) members:

1. Chair

2. Cub Master

3. Assistant Cub Master

4. Finance Director

5. Special Events Director

6. Pack Trainer

7. Tiger Den Parent Representative

8. Wolf Den Parent Representative

9. Bear Den Parent Representative

10. Webelos Den Parent Representative

11. Secretary

The following Vision Committee members will have voting rights:

• Chair

• Finance Director

• Special Events Director

• Pack Trainer

• Tiger Den Parent Representative

• Wolf Den Parent Representative

• Bear Den Parent Representative

• Webelos Den Parent Representative

• Secretary

 
The following Vision Committee members will serve in an ex facto capacity:

• Cub Master

• Assistant Cub Master

A quorum shall be considered present when at least five (5) of the nine (9) voting members are present.

A quorum shall also be considered present when at least four (4) of the nine (9) voting members are present and one (1) of the ex facto members is present. In the case of a tie, the Cub Master may then cast a vote.

The Vision Committee meet the 3rd Monday of the month 7:00pm in the cafeteria.

Pack 142 Vision Committee responsibilities
(in addition to those outlined in the Scouting Handbook):

Chair:

• Call Meetings

• Set Agenda

• Reinforce information from meetings

• Serve on Finance subcommittee

• Provide position duties to volunteers

Cub Master

• Serve on Finance subcommittee

• Chair Leadership Committee

Finance Director:

• Chair Finance subcommittee

• Maintain Fiscal Responsibility for Pack

Special Events Director:

• Chair Special Events subcommittee

Pack Trainer:

• Chair Recruitment subcommittee

• Train all pack leaders – Meet quality unit goals

• Disseminate information for council & district training opportunities

Tiger Den Parent Representative:

• Bring concerns of Tiger Den to Vision Committee for discussion

• Report on Vision Committee activities to Tiger Den

• Recruit one Tiger parent volunteer to serve on Special Events subcommittee (if requested by subcommittee chair)

• Recruit one Tiger parent volunteer to serve on Recruitment subcommittee (if requested by subcommittee chair

Wolf Den Parent Representative:

• Bring concerns of Wolf Den to Vision Committee for discussion

• Report on Vision Committee activities to Wolf Den

• Recruit one Wolf parent volunteer to serve on Special Events subcommittee (if requested by subcommittee chair)

• Recruit one Wolf parent volunteer to serve on Recruitment subcommittee (if requested by subcommittee chair)

Bear Den Parent Representative:

• Bring concerns of Bear Den to Vision Committee for discussion

• Report on Vision Committee activities to Bear Den

• Recruit one Bear parent volunteer to serve on Special Events subcommittee (if requested by subcommittee chair)

• Recruit one Bear parent volunteer to serve on Recruitment subcommittee (if requested by subcommittee chair)

Webelos Den Parent Representative:

• Bring concerns of Webelos Den to Vision Committee for discussion

• Report on Vision Committee activities to Webelos Den

• Recruit one Webelos parent volunteer to serve on Special Events subcommittee (if requested by Special Events Director)

• Recruit one Webelos parent volunteer to serve on Recruitment subcommittee (if requested by Pack Trainer)

Secretary:

• Provide agenda at meetings for all attendees

• Take meeting minutes

• Disseminate information from meetings

• Serve on Special Event subcommittee
